Kgolo “Da Guru” Mthembu Faces Financial Struggles, But Friends Believe He’ll Recover!
Former club owner and businessman Kgolo “Da Guru” Mthembu is reportedly going through tough financial times, forcing him to leave Durban and return to his family home in Soweto, Johannesburg. The estranged husband of Real Housewives of Durban star Annie Ludick-Mthembu has allegedly lost his house, car, and business, with insiders saying he is now trying to rebuild his life from scratch.
According to sources, Kgolo was unable to keep his once-popular nightclub, Viewz Urban Grill and Rooftop, afloat. In an attempt to salvage what he could, he sold the establishment to DJ Bongz, real name Bongani Dlamini, who, along with his associates, reportedly stepped in to prevent the club from shutting down.
A close friend of Kgolo confirmed his struggles, stating, “He’s been through worse before and made a comeback. He lost his car, and he owes some people money, but business is unpredictable. He knows how to rise again.”
This is not the first time Kgolo has faced financial difficulties. Back in 2011, he reportedly encountered similar setbacks but managed to recover. However, recent allegations of unpaid salaries at his club and claims from DJ Wobbly regarding outstanding payments for DJ services have painted a challenging picture of his financial affairs.
Adding to his personal losses, last year, Kgolo also mourned the passing of Gugu Phahla, the mother of his firstborn child. Despite his current situation, those close to him remain optimistic, believing he has the resilience to bounce back once again.
