The mother of two is currently in the process of divorcing her estranged husband, Springboks captain Siya Kolisi. The pair announced their separation in October 2024.
Siya and Rachel have two children together, Nicholas, 10, and Keziah, 7. They had also been raising Siya’s younger siblings, Liyema and Liphelo, who share the same mother.
Rachel recently had an interview on The O-Factor on Heart FM, where she got candid about motherhood.
She discussed the responsibility adults have in raising their children well.
“As adults, we can’t control what happens to us in our childhood. Almost every individual walking this earth has some childhood heartache that lingers into adulthood. I believe that once we become adults, it’s our responsibility to address these issues in order to be better for our children and raise a generation that, while not necessarily trauma-free, will have a less traumatic childhood.”

Rachel added that the season she is in is taking care of her children.
“What we can do now as adults is work to raise a healthy and wholesome generation of kids. That’s the season I’m in — asking myself, ‘What can I do as an adult to heal from what impacted me as a child, and how can I do the work to ensure I pour positivity and love into my children as well?’”
